Italy April 2026

School of Languages invites our year 10, 11 and 12 students of Italian to join an exciting itinerary of in-country language and cultural experiences through our Italian Study Tour in 2026.

From April 10 to May 2, 2026, participating students will be immersed in Italian language and culture in a three-week program in Verona, Venice and Rome. Highlights include:

  • Verona; students engage in 4 hours of intensive Italian lessons every morning and 2 hours of cultural activities every evening
  • Venice; Excursion to Venice. Take a ride in a gondola, climb the Campanile di San Marco and take in the view from the Rialto Bridge
  • Rome; over two days the students will tour the Colosseum, Forum, Trevi Fountain, Palatine Hill, Vatican, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica.

Students will be accompanied by two teachers from the School of Languages and our partner schools, who will meet them at school every weekday, accompany them on all excursions, and be nearby and on call 24 hours per day, every day of the tour. Students will be billeted in professional Italian homestay families in pairs or groups of three. The cost of the tour is expected be around $6700. The total cost will be confirmed in June 2025 once the international flight component is known. This final amount will cover everything except for daily lunches.

This is an invaluable opportunity that promises to create lifelong memories for students. A proposed itinerary is attached, and we hope you can join our information evening, Friday May 2 at 6:00pm at the School of Languages (225 Torrens Rd. West Croydon). In the meantime, Ben Anderson, Coordinator Curriculum and Global Connections, will be happy to address any of your questions or concerns via email,  Ben.Anderson511@schools.sa.edu.au or by phone, 8301 4800.
