Re-enrolment Process

Re-enrolment of students, Reception-Year 9

We aim to provide a great language learning experience for students and hope that they wish to continue studying with us.

Each year students in Reception to Year 9 who are already enrolled with us are automatically re-enrolled for the next year level.

During Term 3, a re-enrolment letter is given out to students in class.

  • If you DO wish your child to continue with us, there is no need to do anything and a confirmation of enrolment email and invoice will be sent to you. Please advise us also if there are any changes to your personal details, phone number, address etc.
  • If you DO NOT wish your child continue with us, simply return the slip at the end of the letter given out in class.

NOTE: If your child will be attending a day school where they will be studying the language studied at the School of Languages, we must have approval (typically an email) from the day school Principal to continue your language studies with us.

Occasionally, if there are insufficient enrolments, we may need to cancel a class. In this case, we will contact you prior to the first lesson.

Year 9 students: you may be interested in learning a new language next year with SACE credits through studying a Stage 1 Beginners course. If you are interested, please contact the school to find out more.

Re-enrolment of students, Years 10 and 11

We hope that in the senior years, students recognise the value and satisfaction of their language learning and wish to continue to the highest level possible.

Typically, early in Term 3, parents/carers are contacted by SMS to advise of the re-enrolment process.

The re-enrolment process for Year 10 and 11 students takes place in the middle of Term 3. Students will receive a re-enrolment form in class and are encouraged to discuss this with their language teacher.

For students who DO NOT wish to continue, simply return the slip at the end of the form.

For students who DO wish to continue,

  • It is essential that students complete the re-enrolment form and inform their day school of their intention to study with us, as this needs to be factored into their normal school load. We will contact the day school regarding their endorsement and declarations.
  • Once the re-enrolment form has been approved, the student will:
    • receive a Letter of Acknowledgement in class toward the end of Term 3.
    • receive a Confirmation of Re-enrolment letter in class mid-Term 4.

Note, if your child is absent in the relevant weeks, this information will be posted home.

  • An invoice for the subject charge will be sent early the following year.
